Fall Fashion Events Happening in NYC This 2014

When it comes to fashion, New York City is the best place to go when you’re in the United States. There, you will find some of the world’s most renowned brands in the industry, fashion emporiums, store openings, exhibitions and of course, runway shows.

If you’re in NYC, these are the fashion events that you can check out:


Free Garment District Neighborhood Walking Tours

Date: November 9 – 23

These tours last for about an hour and a half to two hours. You’ll get to explore New York City’s world-famous Garment District where you can get access to private showrooms, sample sales, as well as learn about its historic background. If you’re a fashionphile or an aspiring designer, you’ll definitely love everything about these tours. It’s free; but you have to make your reservations.

Tiffany T. Train

Date: November 7and 8

Legendary jeweler of Tiffany & Co. Tiffany T. created a full-scale subway train inside an art gallery to pay homage to New York City and High Line as well as to celebrate their latest collection. There will be a display of the Tiffany T collection, including necklaces, rings and bracelets with a T design. A number of the T-square bracelets will on sale on those dates. You can also have the jewelry engraved on site. The event will also feature authentic train steam, ceiling lights, handrails and windows.

Miracle on Madison Avenue

Date: December 6

This is annual event aims to promote shopping with a cause. Streets 57th to 86th will be closed to car traffic on that day. Retailers who will participate in the thoroughfare will donate 20% of their sales for that day to the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Aside from the shopping extravaganza, there are lots of other things planned for the event, including live performances, celebrity guest appearances, food tents and more.


Urban Oasis Shopping and Education Tour

Date: Ongoing

Urban Oasis is a licensed tour agency that organizes fashion tours in SoHo, Brooklyn, NoLita and of course, the Garment District. But their excursions are not limited to retail visits; they also offer those who join the tour a chance to learn about the design process by visiting fabric stores, small factories and pattern-making facilities.

There’s also a Topshop flagship opening happening on November 14, 2014 at 605 Fifth Avenue, which will be its largest outlet in the US.
