Summer 2013 shoes trend | A whole wedge!

Whether in leather, fabric, rope, raffia, colored or patterned, the wedges will occupy a central place in our summer shoe. Last year we had already spoken of the matter, there was already a tendency in the air trying to sink roots. This winter slowly came out of the top wedges super strange, asymmetrical, innovative and sometimes too excessive in my opinion. But now that we overlook the summer and attachment lines generally tend to be more clean and basic, all have proposed their interpretation of wedge. I first heard about this from Lotus shoes. The brands that make the law mark the most basic and accessible. All offer us the chance to find the model that is right for us. I literally fell in love with this model of wedge that has an upper. That brings back memories of the sandals we wore as children. A little of rubber that our mothers forced us to wear when we went in the water and there were pebbles.

Back then I hated them but now I love them. Who would have thought! Another variation is so pretty. Very original idea and very similar to the Lotus Wedge Sandals. A model of this shoe that can be worn safely during the day under a beautiful full skirt in linen or under jeans. As in the 70s we find the wedges wrapped or covered with fabric and super colorful. By far, my favorites are made with flowery texture and cheerful, perfect for a summer aperitif on the beach or in the pool. Maybe paired with a silk scarf that covers the hair. A comfort to be reckoned with!

Let’s not forget another very important aspect of the wedges. Do you have any idea of their comfort? The fact of having a wide bottom so stable and so unlike the shoes with heels that are good or bad that force us to always do the juggler, allow us to wear them with less fear because they are able to really be ultra comfortable. Which model of wedge do you prefer? I’m just curious to know your tastes!
