Must Have Transition Pieces for Spring-to-Summer Fashion

For the common woman, it is impractical to fill an entire closet with one-season-only clothing. Having a couple of transition pieces helps one to be creative yet remain fashionable for two seasons in a row. For spring-summer look, here are our take on this year’s spring-to-summer transition clothing.

Scarf

Scarves are a mainstay in a woman’s collection of accessories. Actually, they are not only great for spring to summer, but all four seasons. For spring, wrap them around your neck loosely for some warmth. For summer, wrap it around your waist for some added flair and cover-up or simply roll it into a hair accessory. If there is too much sun, use it to cover your head and pair with aviators for that glamorous Rosie Huntington summer look.

Long Vest

Vests are versatile and stylish, worn alone during warmer days or as first or second layer during colder days. Wear over a chic tee when it is a bit chilly than usual and not cold enough to wear a full sleeve sweater or jacket. Come summer and you hit the beach, layer it on top of your swimwear and keep the buttons open.

Flat Sandals

Spring or summer, there are times when flip-flops do not offer you much comfort and do not complete your dressy outfit. Pointed-toe flats are great for pairing up with dresses and even shorts when it is still too cold for open-toed footwear.

Mini Dress

Pick a mini dress or shirtdress with long sleeves, which you can roll up or roll down relative to the weather. When the temperature is more summer than spring, pair it up with open sandals and a tote bag.

Cardigan

Grab one or two of those girly cardigans with lacy or sheer details for a breezy ensemble. It keeps you warm enough for a chilly spring day and makes for a great bikini cover-up when all you want is stroll along the coast to catch some picturesque sunset or sunrise.
